چکیده
Purpose: To compare and investigate the short-term clinical outcomes between 10-0 polypropylene sutured intraocular lens (IOL) scleral fixation modified Yamane sutureless IOL in patients with or crystalline les dislocation aphakic state. Methods: From August 2012 to May 2022, medical records were retrospectively analyzed for 43 40 fixation. Uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA), best corrected (BCVA), total astigmatism, refractive error, corneal endothelial cell density, surgical time complications compared before surgery, 1 week, month, 3 months after surgery. Results: In two groups, of UCVA BCVA improved but there was no significant difference groups. The absolute error astigmatism one week surgery month significantly lower group. There postoperative density changes measured group. Conclusions: Although did not show improvement conventional fixation, provided better stability early stages short time. So it can be an effective alternative state.

Scleral Fixation Intraocular lenses
Background: The 1ry indication for scleral fixation of intraocular lenses (IOL) is dislocation as a principal complication of cataract surgery. Inadequate capsular support is the most common cause of IOL dislocation. Other indications include traumatic phakic lens dislocation (cataractous or clear), surgically aphakic eyes or anterior chamber IOL with complications (persistent hyphema, uveitis)...
متن کاملScleral fixation without conjunctival dissection.
Scleral fixation of intraocular lenses (IOLs) and adjunctive capsular devices can be performed under the protection of a scleral flap. A modification of this technique uses a scleral pocket initiated through a peripheral clear corneal incision. Full-thickness passage of a double-armed suture through the scleral pocket and conjunctiva, with subsequent retrieval of the suture ends through the ext...

Scleral fixation of intraocular lenses (IOLs) can be performed under the protection of a scleral flap. A variation of this technique uses a scleral tunnel for suture fixation to the eye. Passage of a double-armed suture through the roof of the scleral tunnel with subsequent retrieval of the suture ends through the external incision for tying facilitates scleral fixation. This modification offer...
متن کاملscleral fixation of an aniridic iol and penetrating keratoplasty: clinical outcomes in three cases
purpose: to report the outcomes of combined aniridic intraocular lens (iol) implantation via scleral fixation and penetrating keratoplasty (pkp) in three patients. methods: this study included 3 patients who required pkp and had aniridia and/or aphakia requiring iol implantation. all subjects underwent aniridic iol scleral fixation after vitrectomy and removal of capsular remnants followed by ...
متن کاملFibrin Glue Assisted Trans-Scleral Fixation of an Endocapsular Device for Sutureless Trans-Scleral Capsular Bag Fixation in Traumatic Subluxations: The Glued Endocapsular Ring/Segment
Subluxated cataracts secondary to blunt injury are a challenge to treat from the construction of rhexis to IOL insertion. For that reason, we designed a new glued endocapsular ring (ECR)/ segment (ECS) for subluxated cataracts and IOLs for sutureless fibrin glue assisted trans-scleral fixation of the capsular bag. The glued ECR/segment stabilizes the capsular bag intra and post-operatively, all...
